Step-by-step guide in redecorating your home

February 16, 2020 by Jasmine Bautista

We’re still at the beginning of 2020 and you might be interested in having a fresher atmosphere in your home. However, where and how should you start? Should you replace all your furniture, or should you just change your wallpaper?

To help you with that, we’re providing a step-by-step guide in redecorating your home!

1. Create a master plan or a mood board.

It is important to create a mood board so your area looks clean and cohesive. Compile photos of your design inspiration and a color theme. This way, it is easier for you and your interior designer to meet eye-to-eye.

2. Take note of items that you currently have.

In relation to number one, you have to take notes of items you currently have and match it with your mood board. Do you have some of the items in your design inspiration? If not, then you can set limitations on what you need to buy and avoid unnecessary spending.

3. Set a budget.

Having a budget won’t just help you in saving money. It will also help you in sticking to your master plan. If you don’t have a limit, you might not realize that you’ve filled half of the space with the items you want, but you don’t have enough money to finish the whole space.

4. Have a timeline.

Check your calendar. Will you be out of the country during this period of redecorating? Are you throwing a house party? It’s better to fix your schedule before deciding to redecorate because this needs commitment. If you don’t have a clear start and end date, this project might not even take flight.

5. Hire a trusted interior designer.

Hiring an interior designer can help you to avoid costly mistakes. Since they’ve been in the business for so long and have seen what works and what doesn’t, they can turn your vision into something greater.

Mainline Power Philippines partnered with Iris Ocampo Interiors because of their sleek and modern designs that matches the Mainline Power Track system. They became official Mainline Power Dealers in 2019, and you might want to hire them as your interior designer! Check them out here: https://www.ieodesigns.com/.
